What is GoodBarry?
GoodBarry is a Business Catalyst brand created to reach more small business owners online. We've been around since 1997 when Bardia Housman co-founded Start, which quickly grew to become the most trafficked website and largest online community in Australia (Hitwise). Start was eventually acquired in 1999 by a NASDAQ listed company, and in 2001 it was time for something new.

Who is this Barry guy?
Barry is the customer support "alter ego" of our CEO Bardia Housman. Bardia's a customer focused kinda-guy, so he always liked to get his hands dirty and help out with the customer support and software development - but he'd always sign off as Barry.
Why’d you call yourselves GoodBarry?
In the early days as CEO, software developer and customer support rep you can imagine that "Barry" had the powers to grant a lot of our customers' wishes. As the resident online business genie, Barry quickly became loved and known for his quick responses and willingness to help.
